eye-catcher on the South Axis

Founded in 1972, the office building is one of the oldest buildings at the Amsterdam South Axis. The original center building has been respectfully maintained, whereas the North and South Towers have been added afterward. As from 2018, the entire property has undergone a huge sustainability make-over. One of the biggest advantages that tenants will experience, is the engagement of our property management team. No less than five days a week, they are there to make sure that all operations run smoothly. Atrium Amsterdam has a corporate character, with a hospitality attitude.

SUSTAINABILITY

From our current tenants, we often receive positive feedback regarding the huge amount of natural daylight in the offices. In addition to the modern look and feel of the glass frame, this also offers the possibility of using sustainable energy. The lights inside of the offices are automatically set to the amount of daylight entering the room, combined with motion sensors. The roof is completely covered with solar panels, to get as much energy from the sun as possible.

 

The Atrium pays a lot of attention to sustainability. For example, a thermal storage system has been integrated, the roof is fitted with solar panels and the building is BREEAM-certified. More information regarding our sustainable awareness can be found on the property information page.

ARCHITECT

Atrium-Amsterdam-MVSA-Architects

MVSA Architects is responsible for designing the Atrium. As an internationally recognized architectural firm, with innovative ideas and designs, MVSA created this unique eye-catcher on the South Axis.

With every project they take on, a lot of attention is paid to the functionality of the building and how it could be as comfortable as possible for its tenants. Both the practical and financial needs of the different tenants are kept in mind when deciding on the design and which materials to use.

The quality of the public spaces is a huge point of attention. Sustainability plays an important part within MVSA’s company policy as well, resulting in property designs that measure up to the latest requirements and prove their value over the years.
